Radboud University Press is a unique department at Radboud University. We are a Diamond Open Access publisher of high-quality academic peer-reviewed books and journals across a wide range of disciplines. The ‘Diamond’ label means that we offer open-access publications free of charge for both authors and readers.

Dissemination of information

Wide-spread publication of research results is currently not within universal reach. Due to limited funds and high charges by most (open-access) publishers it is often difficult for authors and journal editors to reach their target audience. In many cases, this means that authors and readers have only limited access to crucial information.

This is a severe problem for researchers in low-income countries, research on new or controversial topics, or in disciplines where only little funding is available.

Our mission

This is why we have made it our mission to enable the free publication of peer-reviewed academic journals and books across a wide range of academic disciplines.

All Radboud University Press publications are available to our readers online free of charge. They can be downloaded from our website (click here). Because we are a not-for-profit organisation, we offer hard copies at a fair price. In this way, we actively support widespread dissemination of valuable information at no or hardly any cost.
